Watching SCC in March? Don’t overlook teat condition.

After calving, cows are at their most vulnerable.
With wet yards, harsh weather and high milking frequency, March can quickly push SCC’s in the wrong direction, if not monitored carefully.

It’s crucial to;

- Check teat condition regularly
- Clean off teats before milking
- Look for dryness, cracking or rough teat ends
- Use an effective pre and post teat spray method
- Focus on cleaning and conditioning

Healthy teats are your first line of defence in keeping SCC low and milk quality high.
