we attended the National Dairy Show last weekend for the first time as competitors.siun had qualified for the yma showmanship finals where she finished 7th from a very strong class 👏 she also finished around 7th in the dairyshow showmanship.our 2 jersey calfs finished 5th and 6th .as our first year properly showing comes to an end we would like to thank everyone who helped us out and offered us advice throughout the year.its great community to be part of and we have met some great people and breeders from around the county and country .we look forward to next year with our own prefix rowanhill jerseys and hopefully some of our own calves make it to the dairy show next year which is our main aim. 🥰

spreading some dung for next years potatoes. this will be left to work into the soil by worms and soil microbes over the winter to improve our soil fertility.we we're delighted with how our potatoes sold this year so will try and grow more for next year.its been a real learning curve for us trying to keep up with the demand in our farm stand and we strive to be able to supply more to our local community.

6 weeks into this grief “journey” 🙄me &little mike Tyson here are getting through it. It is so hard accepting someone you loved so much is not coming back no matter what you do. The grief is immense. It’s a day at a time I am just waiting for the time to pass so it gets a little easier but it feels like the time is standing still.i miss my dad .It’s a dose.🥲The reality is hitting hard now.Thank god for a good family for my kids who hug me when I’m crying and who cry with their own grief when we hug.For a husband who feeds me and takes care of me❤️ It’s just tough.I make these videos so others know there is no shame in expressing their feelings. Life is very challenging at times and knowing we are not alone & others are in the same boat helps sometimes.Big love to anyone struggling or grieving .I see you. We will soldier on to bright days ahead 🙏❤️

This isn’t a post for sympathy.I know everyone sadly at some point has lost or will someday loose a parent😢I’m no different here🥺it’s just a post seeking people’s experience strength and hope to help me out a bit lol.thank god I am blessed with a good husband who has been through this also a few years ago.He is and continues to be kind,loving and a gift to me.🙌Everyone deals with grief differently and this is almost new for me the loss of a parent so I’m here for all the knowledge I can get😀is it really just time will heal me?what’s helped people in the first few weeks and days after loosing a loved one?so grateful for you all xx
