Cuinneog Ltd

Cuinneog Ltd We are a family-run dairy, based in County Mayo, producing traditionally churned, fermented butter and buttermilk. www.cuinneog.com

Our company was established in 1990, by Tom & Sheila Butler on the Butler family farm. We currently employ 8 people. “Cuinneog” is the Irish word for “Churn”. Cuinneog produces Irish Farmhouse Country Butter and Natural Buttermilk using churning techniques passed from one generation to another. Our products are handmade and superior in taste than mass-produced products. For Cuinneog it’s about cre

ating a natural flavour by combining the best of traditional dairy production methods with current food innovations to achieve that uniquely fuller flavour that is the Cuinneog flavour. Cuinneog is proud to return to the traditional Irish art of butter-making. It's this that gives our butter the original flavour of the Celts, a flavour that has been with us since before there were creameries. It's a flavour that can take centre stage on the kitchen table again. Add a little Cuinneog...for the flavour!
