Taste of Monaghan is a fantastic local event that highlight our top quality local produce, with over 55 exhibitors - demos - music - pet farm and children's entertainment in Monaghan town.

🎉 What a night it was!

It’s hard to believe it’s already two weeks since our Long Table Dinner filled Church Square with great food, great company and plenty of atmosphere! 🍽️🎶

From the first course to the last drink, it was such a brilliant evening, and we’re delighted to share a few highlights from the night.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make it happen:

🍴 Food Vendors: Open Rice Asian Bistro, Slice of Italy, The Fire Wagon and Dinkin’s Bakery
🍸 Drinks: Forged & Infused and Brehon Brewhouse
🎶 Music: The Two Five Ones, who kept the atmosphere buzzing all evening

👜 FOUND PURSE - PLEASE SHARE

A small purse was left with one of our exhibitors at yesterday’s Monaghan Street Food Fest. The exhibitor believed it may have belonged to a young person, but unfortunately they were unable to find the owner.

The purse contains a sum of money and has now been handed in by the festival committee to Monaghan Garda Station for safekeeping.

And while we’re here, a huge thank you to everyone who came along yesterday. It was a fantastic day, and the whole committee was delighted to see so many people come to Monaghan to enjoy the festival! 🎉🍴

The wait is almost over... Monaghan Street Food Fest is happening tomorrow! 🥳

From 11am to 6pm, the streets of Monaghan Town will come alive with incredible food, local producers, artisan crafts, live music, street performers, cooking demonstrations and plenty of reasons to make a day of it.

The Monaghan Mushrooms Long Table Dinner is officially SOLD OUT! 🎉

Tonight, 60 guests will gather in Church Square for a very special evening celebrating Monaghan food, drink, music and community.

We’re incredibly excited to bring this unique dining experience to life for the second year, with delicious food from our talented local food businesses, Monaghan Mushrooms, Brehon Brewhouse, Foraged & Infused, Open Rice Asian Bistro, Slice of Italy, The Five Wagon and Dinkin's Bakery. With live music from The Two Five Ones. 🍽️🍺🎶

A huge thank you to everyone who bought a ticket and to all of our fantastic food businesses, suppliers, volunteers and especially Monaghan Mushrooms for making tonight possible.

🎺 The Monaghan Community Brass Band is coming to the Monaghan Street Food Fest! 🎺

We’re delighted to welcome the Monaghan Community Brass Band to the Diamond Bandstand at 2:00 pm this Saturday!

For an incredible 50 years, the band has been providing music and entertainment for the local community, and we’re thrilled to have them join us for this year’s festival. ❤️

Their repertoire includes everything from lively marches and concert pieces to much-loved hymns, so grab some food, find a spot in the Diamond, and enjoy the music!

Get ready for a little silent comedy as Marcel So What, the hilarious mime-clown (or silent clown), returns to the Monaghan Street Food Fest at 2:00pm!

Marcel entertained us back in 2024, and we’re delighted to welcome him back to Monaghan. Described as one of the funniest clowns in Ireland, Marcel has been bringing his unique brand of visual comedy to events all across the country.

No words needed. Just keep your eyes peeled for plenty of laughs, unexpected moments and some seriously funny street entertainment! 😂🎪

🎻🎶 Traditional tunes are coming to the Diamond!

We’re delighted to welcome Ceolinn to the Monaghan Street Food Fest! A talented group of adult musicians based right here in Monaghan, Ceolinn brings together players of all ages and experience levels, including beginners, with a shared love of traditional Irish music.

Fresh from gigging at the Belfast Fleadh 2026, they’ll be bringing their energy to the Bandstand in The Diamond, playing a lively selection of traditional jigs and reels. ☘️🎶
