Thairific - The Most Simplest Way to Cook Thai food with your local ingredients

Welcome to the Thairific kitchen. The idea is everyone who loves or wants to try Thai food, will be able to make a dish for themselves at home.

Living outside Thailand, you can find that it is difficult to get the same ingredients and even cooking tools as Thai food always comes with many specific ingredients and have special ways of cooking. Even though there are many ready-to-eat products these days but the taste is still far worse than the freshly cooked foods. Also, it is not healthy counting that there is the nutrition loss and the preservatives added.

With my experience working in many Thai restaurants aboard, I learned how to substitute some Thai ingredients with the local ingredients and still remain the tastes as it should be. And learn how to cook with different cooking tools and methods. I think this must be useful for anyone who would like to cook Thai food at home but does not want to spend too much time searching for all the Thai ingredients (you may still need some specific ingredients but not every single piece of them :P). You also do not want to spend the whole day preparing, cooking and at the end of the day, your hair, your body, and even the whole house smells like burning chilli and garlic (oh, the truth’s hurt but it is true :P)
