Our small butchers shop is certified organic!! Now that our farm, suppliers, abattoirs and shop are certified, it means we can finally label our meat as ORGANIC 🍃

Full transparency and traceability is hugely important to us, and having the organic logo on the pasture-raised meats that we sell is a huge milestone for us. We’ll slowly be updating our labelling and website to reflect this, as well as adding more items to our list of approved products.

We work incredibly behind the scenes to look after our soil and pasture, the biodiversity on the farm and the health of our animals to bring you the most nutrient-dense, chemical free food that is produced in harmony with nature. We couldn’t do it without your support, so thank you. And a big thanks to OBLIG and Irish Organic Association for making it happen 🙏🏼

We’re off to Di**le this weekend for Blas na hÉireann Irish Food Awards, but our shop will be open as usual on Friday and Saturday thanks to the lovely Laura ⭐️

We have a huge selection of 100% grass-fed and finished beef and pasture-raised pork sourced from certified organic farms here in Ireland. Here is a little snapshot of what’s in store…

Beef: a selection of steaks and roasts, burgers, mince (beef and beef/pork blend), garlic & herb sausages, stir-fry, slow cooking cuts, broth bones

Pork: boneless chops, meatballs, sausages, breakfast patties, burgers, pork sirloins, tenderloin, belly, collar butts, bone-in shoulder, sirloin roast, mince, stir-fry, broth bones

We also have a small number of organic Crawfords Farm chickens in the freezer (no milk this weekend), and our larder is fully stocked.

What’s available in store this week!

Chicken, beef and pork all sourced directly from certified organic farms here in Ireland. We always have a large selection of fresh meat in store each week, and whatever is left over after we close our doors on a Saturday is what gets put onto our online store for shipping the following week.

We are a nose-to-tail butchery, which means we utilise as much of each animal as we can. Nick does 100% of the butchery, and we made all of our products in small batches. Everything that we make in house is free from gluten and contain zero E-numbers - that’s means no colours, preservatives, antioxidants, thickeners, stabilisers, emulsifiers, anti-caking agents, or flavour enhancers. Just real food, as it should be.

Our shop is open 9am-1pm every Friday and Saturday in Clarecastle, Co Clare. Our online store is restocked every Saturday evening by around 5pm (link in bio).

Nick has been busier than ever this week so that we can have more meat in store for you all this weekend! 100% grass-fed and finished certified organic Irish beef and proper free range pork will be fully stocked. This means more steaks and roasts too! We’ll also have a small number of frozen certified organic chickens from Crawfords Farm again this week. See you there 🌿

We have 100% grass-fed and finished organic Dexter beef in store again this weekend. The flavour and marbling is exceptional. Free range pork this weekend is from Corrigeen organic farm and has been hung for over 7 days.

Our full range of fresh sausages will be available, as well as our meatballs and burgers, along with slow cooking cuts ready for these cooler evenings.

We’re open 9-1pm this Friday & Saturday. Fresh grass-fed and finished Dexter from a certified organic farm, as well as high welfare free range pork from a certified organic farm. All the usual cuts will be available, as well as our popular beef and organ mince and beef bone broth. 🥩

In other news, our butchers shop will soon be certified organic (just waiting on an inspection) which mean that we will finally be able to label the meat we sell as certified organic! 🌿

Nick and Cassie McCarthy met in Cassie’s native Australia and decided to return to Ireland to develop their business Lúnasa Farm.

Based near Quin in Co Clare, they converted land into organic in 2022. Nick is from the area and studied engineering originally, however he trained as a craft butcher while in Australia. Cassie has a background in food science, health and nutrition.

Together the couple developed their business idea of rearing organic animals, butchering them using traditional skills to sell direct to the public. They operate a butcher shop on Fridays and Saturdays in nearby Clarecastle.
