🐴 Sport Horse Breeder: Quarryfield Farm 🇮🇪
🎙 Podcast Host: Big Talk For Breeders
📝 Facilitator: Breeder Groups & Events

Based in County Sligo, North West of Ireland, we are a small family run farm breeding showjumpers from proven damlines. Our broodmares have been carefully selected from top performance families in Ireland and continental Europe. These are then bred to suitable performance stallions from successful damlines to breed potential showjumpers of high genetic merit.

CONNECT, SELECT & GROW

Together with Emma Thorén Hellsten, we’ve developed Connect, Select & Grow into an international event concept that brings sport horse breeders and industry professionals together to connect, learn and share ideas.

Through guest speakers, open discussions and networking, our aim is to create opportunities for attendees to gain practical insights, build relationships and learn from one another.

Having brought CSG to several countries, we’re keen to explore opportunities to work with breeder groups, studbooks and event organisers who may be interested in hosting an event in their own area or country.

If this is something that might be of interest to your group or organisation, we’d be delighted to hear from you.

“What do you forgive on X-rays?”

One of the questions from the audience prompted an interesting discussion on X-rays between Christophe De Brabander and Kyle Timm.

Drawing on their respective experiences, here are their thoughts on X-rays and how they approach the decisions surrounding them.

This is an excerpt from the RDS Breeders’ Talk, sponsored by Next Gen Professionals, which took place at the 2026 Gallagher Dublin Horse Show.

The full conversation is available on YouTube and the Big Talk For Breeders podcast.

“Be like Beeby.”

One of the questions I was keen to put to Goffs’ Henry Beeby was what advice he would give to someone interested in becoming an auctioneer.

Drawing on more than four decades of experience, here is what Henry had to say.

DRUMMER 2000 TN Z X CALEANDRO X HEARTBREAKER

This handsome c**t is another example of the foals currently available privately from breeders around Ireland. He is a direct brother to a 1m50 horse, and comes from a prolific damline.

To receive further details on this c**t, or the full list of privately available foals, send me a private message with your WhatsApp number. Updated footage is now available for several foals on the list. 🎥📸

“Look across the fence.”

One thing that struck me throughout my conversation with Christophe De Brabander was the simplicity of many of the principles that underpin the Stal De Muze approach.

When I closed by asking what advice he would give to fellow breeders, here is what Christophe had to say.

“Knowing the story of horses.”

Kyle Timm on the importance of knowing where horses come from, the people behind them, and looking for that one strong trait that gives you a reason to believe in what they might become.
