Pig Hill has been renamed Foxglove Hill. This hill hadn’t been touched for many a year - we allowed the pigs to turn and clear the ground - blind seeds exposed and foxglove’s abundant.

Archaeology at .ie 👣

While digging a drainage ditch, around half a metre down in peat bog, I’ve uncovered the remnants of what appears to be an old stitched leather shoe.

After checking with ChatGPT ( as you do 😉), it may date anywhere from the medieval period through to the 18th century — remarkable to think about the history beneath our feet here in Kerry.

This little piece of the past will now be kept as part of Mo Farm’s history.

Merlin is on the mend - thanks to the Local Vet for sorting out his broken leg - the cast is off and he’s having to learn to walk on it again.

Merlin needed a bit of magic this morning… 🐐✨
Our little kid goat was found with a broken leg, so it was a quick dash to the local vets 🚑
Olivia got him sorted with a cast, and he’s now safely back with mum 🥰

Free trees .ie last year we collected a few acorns and other tree seeds - we now have free trees. I’ll more than likely never sit under the shade of these trees but generations to come hopefully will
