The winter has come, welcomed in with many fun Samhain activities. In real Irish weather style we had to cancel the last day of camp due to high winds after two mild days of sunshine and soft showers.

We got out the wool again and used needle felting technique to make lovely autumn bunting which led to much exploration of the materials, tools and techniques. Our wood chip paths got a fine new layer on them by some busy boys. Many games were invented and shared amongst the group. We had fun making and decorating willow hoops. And to top it off we made chocolate brownies in the Dutch oven.

We were sad to miss the last day but, as always, filled with so much gratitude to have spent this time with such wonderful, kind and caring souls. Until next time 🦋💫

Such a fab day with our Falcons! Planting acorns (which I had gathers for crafts but started sprouting soo...) , making leaf crowns, some construction, and lots of laughter on the hammocks 😁

We are back with another 6 weeks of our Busy Bees Parent and Toddler program. This 6 week program is suitable for toddlers from walking to 4 years with their adult. Adults are welcome to alternate over the 6 weeks.

This program is all about connecting with your little one out in nature. Learning to manage ourselves out in the elements. Allowing space for choice and frustration, exploration and experimentation. We will offer a wide range of activities, tailoring each session to the needs and interests of the group members.

This program will be led by Yvonne who has decades of experience working with children in a range of settings, is a qualified Forest School leader and has recently qualified as a parenting couch.

This program needs a certain numbers to go ahead so please spread the word, share to your friends and any groups that may be interested.

Today brought with it so much of the essence of Forest School. We had such creativity and initiative in asking for that which had not been made available yet. We experienced members of the group really looking out for eachother when one may have almost felt left out. Some kids really pushed their own boundaries and tried something new. Members who in other settings may have lashed out in certain situations really kept their cool and communicated well.

So much of the magic that happens in a non-judgemental environment where choice is a given and freedom goes without saying, held by the power of Nature. Healing and connection are unavoidable!!

And that's just day 1 of 4! May the magic unfold further 😊🌼
