Very sad news. Skellig Six18 Distillery have been a huge support to us with our wh***ey tasting events.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. May June Rest In Peace. Tributes paid to co-founder of Skellig Six18 distillery, the late June O’Connell | RadioKerry.ie https://share.google/XWf8nBDsq8qO7EjRj

The Cahersiveen native was a successful lawyer for 25 years before she and her husband established the distillery in South Kerry in 2019.

What a fabulous turn out last night for the annual Summer Festival Wh***ey and Gin Tasting Event in The Loft Bar Dan Murphys.
Despite the heat everyone had a fabulous night.
There were 3 great drams supplied exclusively by
Their amazing gin which includes an infusion of locally sustainably sourced Dillisk seaweed as well as Yarrow, Liquorice Root and many other great locally sourced botanicals.
This was taken as a sipping gin with no tonic water and just a bit of ice. The true flavours of the botanicals really came through.
The two wh***eys sampled were:
Skellig Small Batch finished in a PX Sherry cask and their Limited Edition Pot Stilled Peat Cask also finished in a sherry cask.
The wh***eys were paired with Irish Vintage Cheddar and Lorge Chocolate from Kenmare.
Thanks to Mike as always for his great help during the night and to Sean for his great support as always
