As always when there's an event on here, I completely forgot to take any photos for most of it, but just to say a huge thank you to the Farming For Nature organisers and to everyone who came here for a wonderful couple of days. Very inspiring hearing about what everyone else is doing to improve sustainability and profitability on their farms and let's hope we can do it all again next year.

Great fun being on the Laois panel for the Claire Byrne show on Newstalk, live from the visitor centre here at the Farming For Nature festival. Always terrifying doing live radio, but made much easier by the company of Mary-Claire Fitzpatrick (MC) and Evelyn Cusack.

Lots of positive stories about Laois, farming and food production throughout the show which was great to hear.

Always one of the most exciting and nerve wrecking days of the year when Barry from the Laois Barn Owl Project comes out to check if we have any chicks in our barn owl box.

Delighted to find out that we have four healthy young owls this year - three girls and a boy. They've lost nearly all of their fluffy down and should be thinking about leaving the box in about three weeks.
