An apology.

We don't have a clever Electric Picnic video this year. The situation is exactly the same as previous years, so there's really nothing new to say. The supplier has changed from a huge Dutch multinational to a huge British one, but access to festivals is completely down to the event promoter.

In good news, we will have a new limited edition beer out on Thursday next week which will be in local stockists and for click and collect on our website.

We're hosting a free tour of the farmyard, stable yard, champion black walnut tree of Ireland, gardeners' tunnel and the remains of the walled garden as part of Heritage Week. It's on this Wednesday, August 19th, at 2pm.

No need to book tickets, just turn up! There's about 800m of walking involved and it's all outdoors.

Ballykilcavan is a member of Historic Houses of Ireland.
