The grounds in your kitchen compost bin are not finished yet...

A tub left open in the fridge pulls odours out of the air, on the same principle as baking soda. Dug into a bed they feed the soil microbes that build structure and improve drainage. And a drench made from leftover brewed coffee is the version of the slug trick that actually works, which is not the one most people have heard.

Coffee grown in living soil going back into living soil feels just right.
