We've made it easy for you to enjoy churros at home. Our churros are pre-cooked and ready to reheat. Take straight from the freezer, just pop in air fryer or oven to heat for just a few minutes โฑ๏ธ.

Made locally in Dunhill, Co Waterford our churros dough is handcrafted fresh daily in small batches using quality ingredients. We trained with a master churrero from Madrid so we could produce authentic Spanish churros in Ireland. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ชโค๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ

Our traditional Spanish recipe is naturally Vegan and Vegetarian ๐ŸŒฑ. Has no additives, colourings, or preservatives ๐Ÿ˜

They are perfect for sharing with family and friends for breakfast, brunch, dessert or just treating yourself.

Sprinkle with a little cinnamon or plain sugar. Delicious dunked into your favourite chocolate spread or served with some ice cream, fresh fruit or have the traditional way with some thick hot Spanish chocolate ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿซ

We caught up with Taste Waterford member John Curry of Churriosity this week.

Heโ€™s growing the business of supplying quality churros to the wholesale market.

John trained with a master churro maker in Madrid, before setting up Churriosity in 2019.

Only the best ingredients make it into Johnโ€™s churros - a traditional fried dough popular in Spain.

The flour for example is a particular type used for churros and sourced from Spain. Along with high-quality oil, just two more ingredients make up these incredibly tasty snacks, which are vegan friendly.

Johnโ€™s looking to expand his passion for churros through a wide range of hospitality, leisure and retail sectors.

A Taste of Spain

Churriosity is husband and wife team John and Aisling. Sharing a love of good food and a passion for travelling and exploring, while on honeymoon in Spain, we discovered our mutual love of churros.

Once home, we wanted to have delicious churros just like the ones we had in Spain.

A Spanish friend shared with us a family recipe that was passed down through generations. Then to perfect the churro making method we returned to Spain and trained with a master Churro maker from Madrid. Combining what we had learned with the recipe from our friend we knew we had the perfect ingredients to open Waterford's very first Churreria.

We also wanted to create the perfect atmosphere for our customers to enjoy our churros, a little Spanish oasis in Dungarvan surrounded with memories of our travels. The photographs that decorate our walls were taken by us on our adventures through Spain. Youโ€™ll find relics of our travels throughout the cafรฉ. Even our counter is decoupaged with vintage Spanish newspaper we found.
