Boyles Butchers is a busy, award-winning traditional butcher shop in New Ross. We take huge pride in serving premium, award-winning local meats with top-class customer service. We are now looking for a friendly, energetic Counter Hand to join our team, serve our loyal customers, and maintain our high standards.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service: Provide friendly, award-winning service to our customers, take orders, and package products professionally.

Counter Display: Keep our display trays fully stocked, organised, and looking fresh throughout the day.

Basic Prep: Assist with weighing, pricing, and labeling items for the counter.

Shop Hygiene: Maintain strict cleanliness standards on the shop floor, counters, and scales.

Handling Payments: Operate the till and process cash and card payments accurately.

What We Look For
Friendly & Welcoming: Great communication skills and a positive attitude to represent our brand.Reliable & Punctual: A trustworthy team player who works well in a fast-paced environment.Neat & Organised: High standards of personal hygiene and attention to detail.

Experience: Previous retail or food handling experience is a plus, but full training will be provided.

🚨JOIN OUR TEAM🚨

We at Boyles Butchers in Marshmeadows, New Ross, Co. Wexford, are looking for a skilled and passionate Butcher to join our busy, community-focused shop.

In this role, you will prepare high-quality cuts of meat, assist customers with cooking advice, and maintain strict food safety standards. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and premium local products, and we want someone who shares that pride.

Responsibilities:
•De-bone, trim, and portion beef, pork,
poultry, and lamb.

•Prepare specialty meats, burgers,
sausages, and value-added
products.

•Provide friendly, helpful service to our
local customers.

•Maintain a clean, sanitised, and safe
work environment.

•Monitor stock levels and ensure
attractive counter displays.

Requirements:

•Proven experience as a butcher or
apprentice butcher.

•Deep knowledge of meat cutting
techniques and carcass breakdown.

•Strong understanding of food safety,
HACCP, and hygiene rules.

•Excellent communication and customer
service skills.

•Ability to work well in a fast-paced team
environment.
