We are back at the Portumna Courthouse on Friday for the monthly market with our flowers, honey and beeswax candles.

August is looking wonderfully busy!

We’ll be out and about at markets and events across Galway, Tipperary, Clare and Meath with our seasonal flowers (please preorder), pure beeswax candles and our own honey. We’d love to see you if you’re nearby!

One of our favourite jobs of the year… gathering the seeds of yellow rattle from our meadow.

Often called the “Meadow Maker,” yellow rattle quietly works its magic by naturally weakening vigorous grasses, it creates space for wildflowers to flourish. This year we have already seen some native orchids, a beautiful display of field buttercups and the knapweed is just starting to bloom. We hope some long-forgotten wildflowers sleeping beneath the soil, return once again.

These rattle seeds won’t be travelling far. This autumn, after the hay has been cut, we’ll scatter them back across the meadow to continue restoring this special place, one season at a time. Nature has its own pace, and we’re happy to let it lead.

Three days, three wonderful events… and we’d love to see you at one (or all!) of them!

This weekend we’ll be bringing our handmade beeswax candles, raw Irish honey and beautiful seasonal flowers to some fantastic local events.

📍 Friday – PortumnaCourthouse Market | 10am–2pm (honey, cut flowers & beeswax candles)
📍 Saturday – Lakeshore Community Market - Terryglass , Terryglass | 10am–12:30pm (honey, cut flowers & beeswax candles)
📍 Sunday – Galway Garden Festival at Claregalway Castle Castle | 11am–6pm ( flower bouquets at the Flower Farmers of Ireland stall Flower Farmers of Ireland)

Come and say hello, browse beautiful local produce and handmade crafts, and support the small businesses that make our communities bloom. We can’t wait to see you!
