Alot has happened since we last posted updates. We have a new pool in a cave, we have expanded our flock, had multiple events, weddings, bat mitzvas, Sheva brahot and (kosher) bachelor parties and added more caravans.

We are currently in the rainy season here in Israel, which started in October and goes until May. Our hearts continue to ache for those being held in Gaza. We continue to do our part to continue to preserve this land by: tending to the soil, planting, and keeping our presence on this land. We often show appreciation for our volunteers and the IDF, our friends and supporters from all over the world. We would like to take some time now to thank one of our donors and supporters, without them we would not be able to have the impact were having. Today's post is dedicated to Gilad Shapira who has after one visit with his lovely family contributed substantially to the growth and the health of the Eitam flock.

The Eitam is known for its natural wild beauty, it's biblical significance and strategic importance. It is also known for its harsh winters and severe winds, our flags tear off once a month. The IDF reserve soldiers donated their own heavy duty flag and are confident that it will survive our brutal winter. We Eitam veterans are not so sure ;-)


גבעת העיטם ידוע בתור מקום אם נוף פסטורלי, חשיבותו התנכי"ת ונחיצותו האסטרטגית. היא גם מאופיינת בתנאי מזג אוויר קשוחים בחורף ובמיוחד.... רוחות סערה שקשה לעמוד מולם. חיילי המילואים היקרים תרמו לנו דגל ענק והם מאמינים שדגל זה ישרוד את החורף האכזרית הקרב ובא. אנחנו נחושים לעמוד בכל האתגרים והרוחות ולהחזיק איתן בערכים, בדגל, באדמותינו ובאמונתינו שנצח ישראל לא ישקר ולא ינחם כי לא אדם הוא להנחם.

Work schedule continues during winter, war, rain and shine. Sunrise prayers followed by Torah study. After that we go out to herd sheep, plough the land, chop wood and plant trees . The students, the teachers, the fighters, the guests and the volunteers all make such a huge difference.



שיגרת העבודה ממשיכה גם בימי החורף וגם בימי מלחמה, מתפללים בנץ לומדים בחברותה יוצאים לעבוד את האדמה לראות בצאן, לחטוב עצים ולנטוע עצים. גם התלמידים, גם הלוחמים וגם האורחים והמתנדבים.

Just because its planting season and the fact that we are under attack and the rains are upon us does not mean that we are can forget the Torah which is the true wellspring of life.

Since Oct 7th, we at the Eitam Farm have been heart-broken. Most of us have been called up to the front or for training for the possibility that the conflict reach our home as well. that being said, also in war time we must keep the farm functioning; from the sheep care to the ploughing and planting, pruning vines and maintaining crops. Thank you to all our supporters who have assisted us in procuring equipment needed to secure this sacred and beautiful spot.

In the early days, we laid the foundation for our cherished shuel, the nurturing ground for our boys' studies. Today, that dream is a breathtaking reality where daily services uplift our spirits. A heartfelt thank you to all the incredible souls who contributed to this inspiring journey!

Yet, our aspirations continue to flourish. We now seek your support in acquiring a security truck for the farm, expanding our beloved flock with more sheep, and restoring a caravan for our dedicated volunteers and students to relax and socialize. Your kindness has also aided us in obtaining essential weaponry and combat gear, a crucial step toward ensuring our safety.

Although our farm's gates remain limited to visitors due to heightened security measures, your unwavering support fuels our optimism. Together, let's envision the day when we can warmly welcome visitors back to this haven. Your continued generosity means the world to us! 🙏🌟
