This is the story of Cream City. During the intifada of 2000-2005 both of our careers suffered, real estate and construction. I read in Jerusalem post that during that stressful times that Israeli consumption of dairy desserts rose 25%.

We decided to buy a machine (made for frozen custard by Leon's custard in Milwaukee WI) that makes even water creamy. Because we knew we wouldn't be able to buy any premade mixes like they do in the US, Dave studied gelato making from a master, Luciano Ferrari from Bologna, Italy. Our recipes are adapted from his teaching with all local and kosher ingredients.

We just did a big batch of our 2nd most requested flavor (mint chip is the first) Sea salt caramel pecan. It is toasted pecans in a vanilla base (madagascar vanilla) with ribbons of salted caramel sauce, our own recipe with french sel du mer. I'm thinking about two of my favorite flavors, one is maple walnut 🍁the other is pistaccio. I've never seen Maple walnut in Israel and I believe we could do the best pistaccio! Thoughts?

We've started again and sold out our first batch of mint chocolate chip ice cream to our whatsapp group so we did another run. We deliver in Jerusalem, Tsur Hadassah and Harei yehuda.
