A sentence from a film that suddenly feels closer than before.

Life unfolds the way it does.

Years ago, without knowing Sardinia,
I chose to carry something on my skin —
vines, roots, a trace of tradition,
and the sea.

Only later did I understand
how precisely it speaks this place.

At some point, it became clear
that I was not just passing through Santadi.

Something here asked for more time.
More attention.
A different kind of presence.

So I chose to stay.

To work from within —
with the local terroir,
with the people who shape it,
with the quiet depth this place holds.

This is where I now create encounters.

Not around wine alone,
but around everything that gives it meaning.

Nothing announces itself.

A gate appears.
Closed, but not really.

You pass through,
and the landscape begins to change its language.

Vines close to the ground.
Wind carrying salt from the sea.
Growth that stays low, almost hidden.

This is not only a view.
It is a way of being shaped —
by sun, by wind, by time.

Walking the Camino di Santa Barbara,
you begin to understand that terroir is not an idea.

It is something the body learns,
step by step.

Here, in southern Sardinia,
the landscape, the people, and the work behind each bottle
come together with quiet precision.

From walking between the rows of young vines,
to sitting at the table at Cantina Mesa,
and continuing into the depth and character of Cantina Santadi —

each encounter reveals another layer of the place.

Wine, here, is not only something you taste.
