Tuscan Cherry Tomatoes -- luscious, rich, sweet -- thriving in the soft winter sunshine and pleasant January breezes...
We've been doing lots of experimenting and learning at our farm over the past year, and we've come out with some amazing insights.
The question we get asked most often, especially by young people eager to start farming is, "how profitable can this be?"
The simple answer is, "With pesticides, it can be quite profitable if you know the fundamentals. Without pesticides, the way we do it, forget about profits, it's going to cost you like a good hobby does."
That's the thing with growing your own food. The priority tends to be clean, hygienic, high quality produce that's good for the body and mind and energy system. We grow small quantities, sell out quickly, and are constantly looking to maximize personal satisfaction.
We believe that the key to good mental, emotional, and physiological health is good food.
What are your thoughts?
