Every boulder on this site was carefully selected from the local area, transported, and precisely positioned using a JCB. What may appear to be simple rock placement is, in reality, days of meticulous work to ensure each boulder functions as part of the site’s long-term water harvesting system.
Boundary trenches, strategically placed rocks and boulders, and a diverse food forest plantation work together to slow, spread, and sink rainwater back into the soil. Small stones help reduce runoff, minimize erosion, and create countless microhabitats, while the developing understory species protect the soil, build fertility, and support a thriving ecosystem.
