*Role Description*
This is a full-time role for an Agronomist, Research Associate and Field Officer. The
Responsible for
Managing agricultural projects,
Identify plant nutrition requirements and pest and disease and implementing needed protocols.
Data collection and analysis and Preparing Reports.
Contribute to the development of sustainable farming practices.
Collaborate with Agronomists in preparing crop planting plans for farmers& #39; fields within the
cluster.
Scout and onboard farmers in the assigned cluster, building strong relationships and trust among
the farmers.
Work closely with the Procurement and Production teams to provide accurate harvest forecasts
for the crops in cluster.
Supervise collection centre activities including grading, sorting, and ensure compliance with
operational processes.
Organize farmer meetings and coordinate training programs on input preparation, vegetable
grading, and other initiatives.
Provide farmers with inputs based on based on recommendation by cluster agronomist.
Regularly update the FVE ( internal system for data entry ) with details on farmer scouting, input
supply, and harvest status.
Gather field data including soil conditions, cropping patterns, seasonal trends, and other
agronomic information.
Maintain and monitor input inventories in the cluster, ensuring availability and proper usage.
Coordinate logistics for timely and efficient transportation of harvested produce from farm to
warehouse.
*Requirements*
Bachelor& #39;s degree in Agriculture (B.Sc. Agri) or a related field.
Ability to read, write, and speak English and the local language(s) of the farmer cluster (e.g.,
Kannada, Tamil, or Telugu).
Prior experience working in agricultural fields, with farmers, or in similar rural/agri-based roles is
preferred.
Should be able to ride two wheeler with valid driving license
Knowledge of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition
Experience in Agriculture and Irrigation systems
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team
