Bappa is home.
Somewhere in the house, someone is grating coconut. Someone is stirring jaggery. The ghee is warming, the cardamom is crushed, and the first batch of modaks is going into the steamer.
That's the part we love most — not the festival itself, but everything that goes into it. Hands busy. People together. Food made slowly, with real ingredients, and offered with love.
This year, we're grateful to every farmer who grows the jaggery, the rice, the coconut and the ghee that fill kitchens like yours.
