Namaskara everyone,
Spandna and I are starting something very close to our hearts.
Somewhere between food apps, cloud kitchens, and rushed lives, we quietly lost something special. The taste of real home cooked food. Food that reminded us of Sunday afternoons, grandparents calling us to eat, village visits, and kitchens where the smell itself made you hungry.
And honestly, we are tired of clichés. Today everything claims to be "home made" or "home style" while being cooked in commercial kitchens with factory like consistency. Somewhere along the way, the soul got lost.
We kept asking ourselves: when was the last time we had authentic food that felt real? The forgotten tastes. The nostalgic flavors we grew up with.
So we started ಸಾRU.
Small batches. Home style cooking. Weekend specials. Food made with care, the way someone at home would wake up early and cook for family.
Our first menu brings back classics like Koli Saaru, Nati Koli Saaru and traditional pairings that deserve a comeback.
Limited plates. Made fresh. Same day only.
This is more than a business for us. It is our attempt to bring back flavors that deserve to survive.
