Kali or Thiruvadhira Kali is usually prepared in most Keraites and TN houses on the day of Thiruvadhira or also known as Aarudhra Dharsinam in TN.. Lord Natarajar, a form of Lord Siva is prayed to on this auspicious day and Kali is the Neividya made along with Kootu.. Some people also make Thalagam which is similar to Sambar.

Making this upma Kozhakattai is very easy and trust me once you start making this you’ll not go back to original recipe.. where is we use rice instead..
