Ramachandra Rao began the Grocery business. His meticulous selection of quality products, won the trust of a large number of customers. After few years, he realized that sourcing good quality coffee was extremely difficult. Refusing to compromise on the quality standards, he set up his own coffee roasting unit in 1971. He was so fascinated by its intricacies; coffee became his one and only passion

. By intense experimentation with different grades of coffee and roasting parameters he finally hit upon a unique blend which resulted in the now famous “Bayar's” taste. His 3 sons - Nagaraj, Srikanth and Umesh, who entered the family business in the year 1988. Their engineering background further enhanced their inherited passion for coffee. By infusing new ideas and technology, they translated traditional methods to modern production process while retaining the original “Bayar's” taste. Today several lakh cups of Bayar’s coffee are consumed daily. More individuals are rediscovering the authentic taste of Indian Coffee through Bayar's.
