Visited the much acclaimed Marché aux fleurs at Nice, this morning. We were welcomed by fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers. It's a local farmers' market with stalls selling fresh produce, pickled olives and tomatoes, dried mushrooms, jams and preserves, souvenirs and more.
The highlight of the market is La Socca, the local street food of chickpea pancake. We were early and were advised by the lady at the Socca cart to take a token in advance so that we get our Socca as it's a fast selling product.
It was a nice pancake with crispy bits and some softer portions. Definitely worth the wait.

Early morning walk around Amsterdam City centre. Walking past the famed canals, an old church, tram taking people to work, a view of Amsterdam Central Station and a mural showing the front facade of houses along the canals.

Great start to a 2 week trip to Vietnam with mouth watering pho, Vietnamese pancake and coffee that's simply out of the world.
The greens that came with the pancake were so fresh and crunchy I could eat just a bowl of those Vietnamese Restaurant.
Refreshing iced coconut coffee and the creamy egg coffee are to die for Café

Akki roti and a hot cup of jaggery coffee for lunch on Residency Road. Excellent joint for crispy dosas and coffee that'll transport you to heaven.

Wood fired roasted veggie pizza and Italian Pesto pasta @ Vinys & Mark Pizzeria on Cowley Road, Oxford.
Flavourful with fresh ingredients highly recommended.

Walking around the amazing city of Edinburgh. A city full of history in every corner. It was thrilling to explore the underground vaults where people lived and worked a few hundred years ago.
Taking in the sights that inspired JK Rowling to create the characters, places and plot of the Harry Potter series was fascinating.
The refreshing Scottish Cider and the creamy Cullen Skink (fish chowder) were a treat after a day long of walking.

Scone - a quintessential English baked goodie. Here's an apple and toffee scone with strawberry jam and clotted cream. You might wonder what clotted cream is which I definitely did and it's the same as home made white butter.
The combination of scone and clotted cream is heavenly. We had this at a place in Notting Hill which claimed to be the first scone store of England.

Enjoying Sikkimese hospitality Lachen, North Sikkim.
The cozy wood fired kitchen hearth, some tea with Khapse, special Tibetan snacks made during Lhosar, the Tibetan New Year. A simple, delicious home cooked dinner of rice, dal, locally grown cauliflower and carrot subzi, stir fried local greens called 'duku', some homemade sausages and radish-ginger pickle served in a traditional brass plate.
It's one of the best homestay's we have stayed at. Will be back for more adventures.
