Bees play a very important role in producing white pumpkins.
A white pumpkin plant produces separate male and female flowers. Bees visit the male flowers, collect pollen, and then carry that pollen to the female flowers. Once the female flower is successfully pollinated, the tiny pumpkin at its base begins to grow into a full-sized pumpkin.
So the journey is essentially:
Flower → Bee carries pollen → Female flower gets pollinated → Pumpkin starts growing
Without enough bee activity, pumpkin plants can flower beautifully but produce fewer pumpkins, or the young pumpkins may start developing and then drop off.
the bees you see moving from pumpkin flower to pumpkin flower are actively helping create the pumpkins that eventually reach you.
