Safarnama’s selection process is very deliberate and specific.

Guests, for example. We assess 50 personalities and then distill it down to a cohesive and eclectic set of 10 guests for each edition.

Do they share our curiosity for rediscovering regions?
Are they compelling storytellers themselves?
Will they be patient as we try unpack our take on Goa?
Are they fun sports?

Ofcourse, one plan can never please all. But we reduce the variables as much as possible and build a plan that strokes the top 3 interests of everyone on board.

When we design a thali dining experience, there’s multiplicity in our storytell. Some details express themselves via the very ingredients in the food, some are revealed via decor and design details.

For example, we incorporated ginger lily flowers, local Myndoli bananas, Kokum & Teppal spices, local kunbi textile saree, ancient measuring pots into the table setting.

Our tablescapes springboard cues of local craftsmanship, tradition, and design history that then enable a comprehensive and sensorial regional dining experience.
