It has been enjoyed for decades in the town...The snack comprises of the Thattai/Thattu Vadai (small fried discs made out of a combination of Rice flour and Urid flour and a few other seasoning ingredients) and veggies. The Thattai is the base and the top part that sandwiches a hearty filling. The filling comprises of shredded carrots, beetroot and onions, seasoned with coriander. This mixture is

placed in between the Thattai discs with some chutney and masala applied on top and bottom of the Thattai. Owing to its appearance after the placement of all the elements, it looks like a set together and thus the derivation of the name "Thattu Vadai Settu"
