Our Story

When a vision turns to reality humans have a natural tendency to look back and reflect on the journey. This journey begins with a family of four trudging through the congested streets of Triplicane, a densely populated area in one of the oldest parts of Chennai city. Shops, people, cows, dogs and vehicles fought for space in the narrow streets. What drove them there was the fathers childhood memories of an ice-cold rose flavored carbonated beverage, slipping smoothly down his parched throat on a hot summers afternoon. He remembered holding the heavy glass bottle in his hand, popping the marble, the refreshing spray of fizz and the waft of the rose essence making his mouth water. They called it Goli Soda, for the small marble at the mouth of the bottle, that held the contents in. Turning it in the sunlight the marble reflected various hues and glinted like a little diamond and to his childish self it seemed a miracle! How did it get in there and how he wished he could hold that smooth marble in his hands. Yet the search through the streets yielded nothing and the disappointment was palpable. What they found were small shops selling coloured water in unclean and broken bottles. A further search revealed that the bottlers making this Goli Soda are a dying breed and edged out by large multinationals were looking to close shop and move on. An industry and product, that had been around for close to 150 years, was being wiped out and taking with it the collective memories of millions like the father. And from this disappointment was born a dream. Today you hold in your hands, KOZZMO, the result of four years of research and the realisation of a dream to bring safe, hygienic and authentic Goli Soda to the hands of everyone who wished to relive their wonderful memories and to introduce it to a new generation looking to create their own. KOZZMO is a branded product with the FSSAI certificate and has been introduced currently in 6 different flavours- panneer soda(the most sought after flavour), grape, orange and lemon, pineapple and nimbu-masala. Hope you enjoy this versatile product - drink it as-is, mix it with ice-cream to make floats or combine it with mixes to make your favorite cocktail or mocktail. Yet , most importantly, don’t forget to enjoy it together with family, friends and your loved ones, for the memories you create today are the ones you cherish tomorrow.
