After three years, we finally carved out time to breathe life back into the farm.
The clean-up began in November, and soon after, we started building a circular structure that now serves as a space to store farm tools, a cozy living room, and a water tank perched on top.
Construction kicked off in late February and was completed by mid-May. While the structure took shape, we also planted a few trees for the future and introduced brinjal, chilli, and tomato saplings around mid-April. We kept it simple—just regular watering and occasional weeding, with no special treatment.
By late May, we began harvesting. So far, we’ve picked over 10 kg of brinjal and about a kilogram of chilli. The tomatoes are just beginning to ripen, and we’re hopeful for a good yield in the coming weeks. There’s a unique joy in growing your own food and bringing it straight from the soil to your plate.
Now that the trial run is coming to a close, we’re excited to continue this journey more regularly—and expand into growing more varieties of vegetables. Fingers crossed for what’s ahead!
