I’ve noticed something about bad days.
They’re very good at making everything else suddenly feel bad too.
A meeting goes wrong. Someone disappoints you. A plan falls apart. Before you know it, your mind starts telling you that everything is going wrong. But is it really?
Or did one difficult hour quietly take over what was otherwise a perfectly good day?
MY THOUGHTS ... I’ve started asking myself that question. Because most of the time, the answer is obvious.
The people I love are still there. The work I care about is still waiting for me. Tomorrow is still coming.
One bad meeting is still just one bad meeting. One setback is still just one setback , is just that.
I’ve realised that life rarely falls apart as quickly as our minds convince us it has.
So whenever things don’t go my way, I try to zoom out before I react.
It doesn’t make the problem disappear. It just reminds me that my life is always bigger than the problem.
And somehow… that’s usually enough to keep moving.
