The dining space was built around the Swastik at its centre, with water flowing through it and becoming part of the space itself.

Around it, the tables came together in a considered arrangement, dressed with flowers, layered textiles and details that carried the story forward.

Above, the ceiling brought another layer of colour and movement, completing a space made for gathering.

There were stories within the story.

In the flowers, in the peacock, in the little references to Krishna woven
through the house.

His life found its way into the art. His world found its way into the details.
And at the heart of the celebration, the Jhula brought it all back to Krishna.

Nothing was placed simply to fill a space.

Every detail belonged to the world we were creating.

Richly patterned textiles, gathered cushions and carved details came together beneath a canopy of flowers.

Fourteen feet of scale, surrounded by the ten avatars of Vishnu, bringing the stories
of Krishna into the celebration.
It was not simply a centrepiece.

It was the first glimpse into the world we had imagined for the Sarin family.

The story was never confined to one space.

It moved through passages, courtyards, windows and rooms, revealing itself differently at every turn.

A glimpse of Krishna here. A reference to his world there. The play of pink and white, the presence of water, the baradri opening out to the greenery.

Each space carried its own moment, while still belonging to the same story.
