Shajan is an IT professional having more than 20 years of work experience with companies like Philips Software Centre, Mindtree etc. Tina is MBA from XIME (Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship) and having around 18 years of HR experience. Having worked as the head of Human Resources of a 500 member IT company in Bangalore in her last corporate assignment, she says it quits. Longing to move out of the consumer rat race, Petrichor Farms is formed. A dream to go back to nature, A dream to follow our passion. We are on our journey to chase our dreams...

Petrichor Farms:

petrichor ˈpɛtrʌɪkɔː/noun: a pleasant smell that frequently accompanies the first rain after a long period of warm, dry weather. Yes, we would like to bring in that freshness in whatever we attempt to do. We are Shajan Joseph and Tina Mathew (husband-wife duo) into agro farming using hi-tech polyhouse farming. We are based out of Denkanikkottai, close to Hosur- the little England. Shajan and Tina moved out of their corporate rat race and are trying to find happiness amidst the nature.

We also are in the initial stages of coconut farming. Also, we create vegetables for our own use. We also have constructed a farm house using rammed earth construction method.

Since our daughters are studying in Bangalore, we have not completely shifted to our farm yet. Two more years, and we plan to spend our week at the farm and week-ends in Bangalore.
