If your sesame oil tastes bitter, here's something you should know. 🌿
It starts with the sesame seeds.
Before pressing, we carefully clean and wash them to remove the impurities. From a 75 kg sack, around ¾ to 1 kg of impurities can be removed during this process.
Once cleaned and properly sun-dried, the sesame seeds are traditionally wood-pressed with palm jaggery to bring out a naturally rich aroma without the unwanted bitterness.
Because sometimes, the difference isn't in the press. It's in what goes into the press.
