Today is International Tea Day. Here's what that means to us.
It means thinking about the women in Halmari who pluck two leaves and a bud before sunrise. It means the smell of a freshly-opened harvest in our Guwahati store. It means the quiet pride of knowing that the tea in your cup didn't pass through ten hands before it reached you — it came from a garden we know, picked in a season we can name.
We started Namhah because Assam grows the world's finest tea, and most of it leaves before Assamese people, or Indians anywhere, get to taste it at its best. We wanted to change that. One garden. One cup. One customer at a time.
Four years, 50 million cups, and 1,200+ reviews later — we're still doing the same thing. Just for more of you.
Today, to mark International Tea Day, the first cup is on us at our GS Road, Christian Basti store. Come in, sit down, and let us pour you something from a garden we love.
And if Guwahati is too far — namhah.com is open, and we ship across India.
Happy International Tea Day. 🍃
We are Assam. You are welcome here.
