*Glimpse of Very Recent works of our Axomagro FPC, Goalpara*

While the construction of CSC is underway, the FPC so far has achieved a turnover of Rs. 27.67 Lakhs in this FY 2023-24. For this, the FPC has received a Rs. 25 lakhs loan sanction from Samunnati in December, in addition to the previous 20 Lakhs loan based on the sound business model, timely repayments and governance/management system put in place. The FPC has also commenced Paddy Cum Fishery in last month i.e in December, covering an 8 Bigha leased Pond area, utilizing 5 lakhs Grass Carp Seeds.

Today, a technical training session on the scientific cultivation of lemongrass, tulsi, vetiver, and banana was conducted at Axomagro Producer Company Limited, Padupara, Goalpara by District Horticulture Coordinator and District Aromatic Plant Coordinator, APART. The programme was arranged by the PWC Goalpara Team.

Today, Dr. Benoy Kumar Barman, senior scientist from World Fish in Dhaka, Bangladesh & South Asia, along with Mr. Anoop K Tandon, Resident Advisor, WorldFish-Indiaa nd Ms. Neta Bepi, visited our Axomagro Producer Company Ltd, Padupara, Goalpara. They shared valuable insights and advice on quality fish seed production, highlighting the benefits for all farmers as well as growth potential of the FPC.The team visited our ponds/seed banks, input shop & the under construction CSC and provided constructive feedback. Dr. Barman Sir appreciated the business orientation of our FPC in the FPC feedback register specially appreciated the management aspects of our FPC. He even mentioned that he hopes that the FPC can become a model under APART. We feel really encouraged by the kind words.The APART Goalpara District ECF, TEF, and Goalpara District PwC team members were also present during the visit.We thank fishery department and APART for the continuous support and facilitating such guidance.

Today, OPIU APART, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, has conducted a training on "Business Suitability mapping using Geospatial tools". During this training program, Director Nazirul Islam and OA Sorif Sadik Alom from Axomagro FPC, Padupara, Goalpara, attended and acquired knowledge from the eminent trainer. We believe that this training will contribute to boosting the business of the FPC in the near future.

Today, Axomagro Farmer Producer Company (FPC) in Rangjuli, took a commendable step by distributing 1.4 metric tons of Mustard seeds to 700 farmers. This generous initiative aims to uplift the livelihoods of these hardworking individuals, contributing to an increase in their income. The seeds were sourced from the APART State's Self-sufficiency in Mustard edible oil AWP 2023-24 Programme, DAO, Goalpara, showing a commitment to bolstering local agriculture. It's worth noting that this FPC was established in 2021, thanks to the support of the World Bank-funded Assam Agribusiness Rural Transformation Project - APART Assam , with facilitation from PwC India . Such efforts promote sustainability and prosperity in the farming community.
