*About the Animal for Qurbani*

1. Condition of the Animal:

The animal must be healthy and free from major defects.

Animals with specific disabilities (like blindness, limping, or extreme thinness) are not permissible for Qurbani.

Reference from Islamic jurisprudence is cited to support these rulings.

2. Age Requirement:

For sheep and goats, the minimum age requirement for Qurbani is typically one year. However, a 6-month-old sheep that is healthy, well-fed, and full-grown is also permissible for Qurbani

3. Permissible Animals:

Only specific animals like sheep are allowed.
Wild animals or those not raised for domestic use are not valid.

4. Number of Shares:

One goat or sheep = one person.

5. Animal with Defects:

The following are disqualified:

Blind from both eyes.

Severely sick or extremely weak.

Limping to the extent it cannot walk.

Having no ears or tails from birth.

6. Miscellaneous Rulings:

It’s preferred to choose the best animal for Qurbani

The intention (niyyah) should be made properly.

The sacrifice must be made after Eid prayer during the correct days.

7. Buying Guidelines:

Care should be taken not to cheat or deceive in the buying/selling of animals.
