🔧 How a Water Softener Works (Simple Explanation)
1. Hard Water Enters the System

Raw water containing Ca²⁺ and Mg²⁺ flows into the softener tank.

2. Ion Exchange Process (Core Working Principle)

Inside the softener is a resin bed (tiny charged beads loaded with sodium ions Na⁺).

👉 As water passes through:

Ca2++2Na(resin)+→Ca (resin) 2++2Na+
Calcium & magnesium stick to the resin
