A fermented tea hailed as ancient China's "youth elixir" kombucha has long been known as the drink for vitality and longevity. Over the last decade, Kombucha has become an integral part of a healthy lifestyle for many in the West and all over Asia who swear by its healing and detoxification properties. At long last, this cool, fizzy, refreshing beverage is finally available for your drinking pleasure in Bombay! Meet the Bombucha team - Monika and Nitin - partners in life nd business who are deeply committed to healthy lifestyle choices. After experiencing the miraculous health benefits of this "youth elixir" first hand, Mon and Nin, who LOVE sharing their favourite new finds with friends, received so much positive feedback that they decided to launch Bombucha. Committed to quality and consistency, they carefully home-brew their Kombucha in small batches with a lotta love in a variety of delicious flavours. Bombucha consists of the highest quality ingredients, straight from the source. We brew green or black tea, sweeten it with raw organic sugar and then leave it to cool. Next, we add SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast). SCOBY basically makes the magic happen by chomping up the sugar in the tea (over a seven to twelve day fermentation process), leaving behind an absolutely delicious, fizzy, refreshing low-calorie and low-sugar beverage filled with probiotics* that is a great alternative** to popular soft drinks. Finally, we infuse our Kombucha with organic fruits and herbs, to produce unique signature flavours and benefits that can only be found in the Bombucha range.
*Probiotics are bacteria found in our digestive tract that help us absorb essential nutrients and fight infection. Those who do not have a sufficient amount could experience frequent colds, flus, skin disorders and digestive problems.
**Bombucha does contain trace amounts of alcohol due to the natural fermentation process (not more than 0,5%), so while it is safe for most to drink, people with alcohol sensitivities should consume it in small amounts. Bombucha just tastes good, and is a much better option than the heavily sweetened drinks on the market. Bombucha consumed in moderation could offer the following health benefits:
• Promote healthy gut bacteria
• Support healthy liver function
• Boost metabolism
• Improve digestion and bowel function
• Reduce signs of aging
• Boost energy
• Reduce blood pressure
• Relieve headaches and migraines
• Reduce occurrence and size of kidney stones
• Destroy free radicals, which are known to cause cell damage
• Aid in healthy cell regeneration
