Mulagapodi Idli from The Malabar Magic

There are a very few places in kolkata that particularly focus on their food and not unnecessary gimmicks.

The people behind The Malabar Magic know their food and extremely serious about the authenticity of every particular dish.

Mulagapodi is a Chili Powder mix from Kerala (which is also known as gun powder) that is mixed with ghee to make a paste like mixture. Soft, spongy idlis are dipped in the mixture and served as it is.
We paired it with their house special tomato garlic chutney and a hot cup of filter coffee (made with roasted coffee beans from Kerala).

A match made in heaven indeed.
