Gupta Brothers started as a sweet shop in the year 2001.It soared to success with its amazingly tasty sweets and quick bites snacky items. After that they ventured into a comprehensive north indian, south indian and chinese menu with an expanded restaurant space upstairs also called Gupta Brothers Food Court. Located opposite new alipore triangular park . It is divided into two storeys. we are spec

ialist in Thali Gharwali. We are spread over 1,000 sq feet area fully A/c Food court with a seating capacity of 45. The ground floor is the area where you could get all the sweets, snacks items, thalis or takeaway from the menu for the main restaurant. There is an area in the corner where you could stand and eat. The staff are polite if you could initiate a conversation with them since they are worked up and in a hurry most of the time. First floor consists of the main restaurant which serves north indian, south indian and chinese cuisines apart from the items from downstairs. The space is compact but seats are comfortable. The staff here is polite, courteous and service is pretty quick. The ambience is good with soothing music playing in the backgruond to set your mood right and for grabbing a good lunch/ dinner if you are in the neighborhood they will provide a royal or grand dining experience if you are specially in a group. In the context of sweets, they have a few competitors in that area which include balaram mullick, gokul, tewari but they are the best. I think this place presents one of the biggest variety of sweets in kolkata. The abar-khabo, gulab sandesh, mango rabri, chocolate milk cake are few of their best offerings and one of the best available in the city. After sharma rabri shoppe (which closed down) , i think these people make the best rabris in town. Presentaion of the gulab patti sandesh would always catch one’s attention when you are wondering what to order. Snack items include the samosas, cutlets, corn puffs, veg puffs, pizzas etc amongst which corn puff is the best and my favorite. They have paw bhajis, chola bhatura, dahi chaats etc too which are all very good and value for money. The thalis are a big offering here which have right combinations and are packed n sealed pretty well. For 200 bucks, thalis are a great takeaway and sufficient for a person. The restaurant has a big menu for north indian food including various kebabs, chaats and vegetables. Kebabs are well grilled and are tastefull especially the achari paneer tikka which is my favorite. Crispy chilli babycorn is the best amongst the chinese starters. The main course dishes are very well made. Black dal is good, paneer makhani, koftas etc are pretty decent. Chinese cuisine has a variety of menu options to choose from. and north indian offering is more promising. They also serve south indian food which is also very good.
