How Our Pets are spreading Joy!!

When we Got our first Horse four years ago, only to realize a long standing dream, little did we know this one was going to tempt us to go get another and then yet another! Before we knew it, we had more than half a dozen horses, geese, host of Rabbits and a Dog!

But as we spent time with them at the farm, the calm and peace it brought us, was more profound than any Therapy we know! And so we opened gates to people we knew, friends and groups of school children to come and experience the Joy!

Over the years we have had groups from various backgrounds and economic stratas. Young adults from NGO run Rehab centres, and Adults recovering from Substance Abuse, Differentaly abled individuals who have gone solo on a horse ride after “trying it out” for a while! But our Patrons, our most frequent groups have been the “Parent & Kid” Duos! Our Camps have been a hit - Art Camps, Pottery, The Outdoors, the Crop Harvesting....! Our oldest guest has been 73 and youngest 9 months (sat with her mommy ofcourse!!)

What makes us unique?? We are a small, cozy home farm. If you want to come and spend time with us for the sake of being with animals, for the sake of finding a green zone within you, if you are looking for getting back on your knees (like we did as kids!) and dirty your hands, then this is the place!! We are a family farm, a place you come and our staff would cook up a meal or a hot chai for you like they would for us. A place you would hear interesting stories about almost every horse we have! A Story of how we brought them in , often after being rescued from where they were , how all the Love & affection and care we give them has made them Horses that experts also rave about!

So if you are a digger for stories, and green zones, and adventure ..and if you are on the look out to connect with the child you were when you were five..then this is the place!!

Every Horse we have is an Indigenous Breed, which means we have only Indian Breeds, so if you are a taker for the Race Horses category, that is not us. We have warm, loving pets who can actually make your day by communicating with you! You (and your children!) would be able to connect with them like they were your pets. So what we give you is not a ride, but a pet for the time you are here!

Another thing that amazes me has been... the NGOs and the Trusts that wanted have their participants come in for therapy and the sheer experience, found sponsors to pay us (since they realise that every Entity has it’s costs too you know!!). We give discounts and could even go free (Infact we have!!) for these people! But amazes us when we on the other hand, see people finding 1250 or 1850 or 2000 “exorbitant” ... ! Our Policy and our Pricing is the best you can get for what we offer. and it is mentioned in advance! Need i say more!!??

So far we have hosted hundreds of people in several camps, we have received letters and rave reviews from kids and parents, and the one common thing we have heard from them is “it feels like it’s our own!” When we get that, we know we are doing something right!! We are making people feel “at home” in this fast paced world where outings also have become more about where you get “better Selfies”!!
