The first step towards a remarkable cup.

Fresh leaves. Gentle airflow. Patient withering.

Before flavour can develop, the leaf must learn to let go of moisture and begin its transformation.

Every great tea starts here.

Through our collaboration with the Tea Board India during Tea Quality Awareness Week 2026, we revisited a key idea โ€” quality and sustainability must go hand in hand.

Sessions like these are a small but important step toward a stronger tea industry.
As the industry evolves, continuous learning, awareness, and collaboration will be essential in shaping the future of tea.

We often talk about tea in terms of numbers. Temperature. Wither percentage. Moisture. Grades. Prices.
But spend one day inside a factory, and that language starts to feelโ€ฆ incomplete.

Because tea isnโ€™t just being โ€œmade.โ€ Itโ€™s being handledโ€”constantlyโ€”by people whoโ€™ve done this for years, often generations.
The plucker who knows which two leaves and a bud are just rightโ€”without measuring.
The withering supervisor who can tell, just by touch, whether the leaf is ready.
The roller who adjusts pressure not by formula, but by instinct.
The sorter who can spot a subtle variation in leaf that machines would pass over.

None of this shows up on a spec sheet.
But all of it shows up in your cup.

Post-manufacturing tea tasting is where batches are assessed for liquor, aroma, brightness, body, and overall consistency before moving forward. Small differences in leaf, weather, and processing can change a tea entirely โ€” which is why tasting remains one of the most important steps in quality evaluation.

At Auromirra Tea, every batch is tasted, discussed, and understood before it reaches the next stage.

Tea tasting after manufacturing โ€” an essential step in understanding the quality and character of each batch before selection and dispatch ๐ŸŒฑ

Why taste every batch?
Because tea quality cannot be judged by leaf appearance alone. Post-manufacturing tasting helps assess liquor, flavour, briskness, aroma, and overall cup character โ€” ensuring consistency and quality in every batch.

What made this session truly meaningful was the people.

From factory teams to industry representatives, the interaction went beyond theory โ€” it became a space for sharing real challenges, practical insights, and on-ground experiences in tea manufacturing.

With the support of the Tea Board of India, the focus remained clear: strengthening quality while ensuring better livelihoods for everyone involved in the tea ecosystem.

Because behind every cup of tea, there are countless hands shaping its journey ๐ŸŒฑ
