I’ve always believed gifting gets misunderstood. People often reduce it to price tags and occasions, but I’ve seen something very different over the years. Gifting, at its core, is emotional translation. It’s how some people say the things they struggle to put into words.
Not everyone is comfortable with long speeches or dramatic gestures. Some people say “I care about you” by remembering your favorite chocolate from a trip you took years ago. They say “I’m proud of you” by showing up with something thoughtful on an ordinary Tuesday.
To me, gifting has never been about impressing. It’s about observing. Listening. Noticing the little details that make someone who they are. When you gift with intention, you’re really saying, I see you. I know you. You matter to me.
Maybe gifting was never about things, ‘just about being remembered.’
