The potato chip may have been born out of pure 👀 annoyance.
Legend has it that in 1853, chef George Crum 👨🍳 was told his fried potatoes were too thick, too soggy, and not crisp enough. So he sliced them thinner 🔪, fried them harder 🔥, added salt 🧂, and sent them back.
Instead of anger, he got obsession.
And just like that, snack history 📜 changed.
What makes this story even better is that the first chips were made the old-fashioned way: slowly ⏳, in small batches, with more character, more irregularity, and a crunch 💥 you could actually feel.
That original method still has a name: kettle cooking.
At Kettle Studio, that is the kind of crunch we believe in.
Thicker. Louder. Crunchier. 🥔⚡
Save this for your next snack argument.
