Old Harbor Port, Surat was home to our mentor, legendary Shri Suresh Jivraj Shah, well known for Tea tasting, nosing and curation. From the ports of Surat, our story travels to the lush Tea gardens of Assam, where his portege, Kiran Shah, lent his time, effort and

Kiran Sureshbhai Shah, founder of Old Harbor Fine Teas, selects and blends fine leaf with the expertise and care that comes from the 70 year heritage of family involvement in the tea business and a lifetime of perfecting his own skills.Each day he noses, sights and tastes some 800 tea samples,selecting no more than half a dozen that he assesses as worthy for blending into the range of fine teas bearing the company name.

Superb taste, texture, aroma and warm hues are typical of tea leaf from the Great Estates of Assam. Old Harbor Teas preserve and enhance these natural qualities of Assam leaf through application of skilled techniques of blending, infusing, processing and state - of - the - art packaging.
