Have you tried our Brunost, a caramelised whey cheese?

Paying homage to its roots in Norway, Brunost is made by slowly cooking whey until its natural sugars caramelise, transforming whatโ€™s often overlooked into something deeply flavourful. The result is a smooth, fudgy cheese with a savoury sweet complexity that lingers.

At Eleftheria, we honour this traditional craft while making it distinctly our own. Each piece is embossed with โ€˜เคเคฒ เคเคซโ€™ in Devanagari.

It pairs beautifully with waffles, pancakes or toast, berry jam or fresh berries, and a medium-bodied white or fruity red wine. It also makes a fantastic addition to any cheese board.

Have you tried our Kaali Miri cheese?

Aged for 2 to 3 months, it develops a crumbly, grateable texture with a creamier mouthfeel than its western counterpart. It is infused with indigenous garlic and Himalayan pink salt, then coated in freshly ground Kerala black pepper. Every bite is bold, pungent and full of character.

A little goes a long way. Grate it over pasta, risotto, eggs or a fresh salad and watch it transform your dish completely.

Aged for 3 to 4 weeks, it develops a snowy, velvety rind and a soft, buttery interior that gently yields as it ripens. The flavour is balanced, with light earthy and mushroomy notes shaped by the milk and where it comes from.

It pairs beautifully with honey, candied pistachios, fig or berry jam, and a glass of sparkling white wine.

Eleftheria began with a quiet conviction that India has the milk, the terroir and the craft to stand alongside the worldโ€™s finest cheesemaking traditions.

Competing against cheesemakers from across the globe at the Mundial do Queijo do Brasil 2026, we are proud to have brought home three medals for India.

This victory belongs to our Indian dairy farmers, our artisanal cheesemakers and the small team who show up for the craft everyday.

Sรฃo Paulo, 17th April 2026.

The 4th Mundial do Queijo do Brasil one of the worldโ€™s most prestigious cheese competitions in Brazil.

Yet another landmark moment for Eleftheria and Indian Artisanal Cheese.

30 countries. 2,700 cheeses. 350 judges. And a team from India carrying artisanal cheese into a room that had never really seen it before.

We competed, we hosted tastings, we talked about what artisanal cheesemaking looks like in India. The conversations were as meaningful as the competition.

India brought home four medals:

Proud of the cheese. Prouder of the conversations it started. From camel milk and camel chocolate to danedaar ghee, yak churpi from the Himalayas and handcrafted cheese from Mumbai, the Indian delegation brought the full breadth of what Indian dairy can be.
