Krushi Agro Technologies Signs MoU with ICAR-IIHR for New Microbial Consortia for All Crops
Mysuru, Karnataka— In a significant move toward sustainable agriculture, Krushi Agro Technologies has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR) for the joint development and commercialization of a new Microbial Consortia suitable for all crops.
The MoU was signed at the ICAR-IIHR office in the presence of senior scientists and officials from both organizations. The partnership combines Krushi Agro Technologies’ expertise in farmer-centric agricultural solutions with IIHR’s research excellence in soil microbiology and crop nutrition.
The Microbial Consortia is a scientifically formulated bio-input designed to improve soil fertility, enhance nutrient uptake, promote healthy root growth, and increase crop yield and quality across field crops, horticultural crops, and plantations. It aims to reduce dependency on chemical fertilizers and support long-term soil health and environmental sustainability.
Speaking on the occasion, representatives of Krushi Agro Technologies said the collaboration reflects their commitment to bring research-backed, eco-friendly solutions to farmers. Officials from IIHR noted that such industry-institute partnerships are key to translating scientific research into practical products that benefit farming communities nationwide.
This initiative is expected to provide farmers with an effective biological alternative for crop nutrition while contributing to healthier soils and better farm incomes.
