I often tell my friends that if you look at baking pies as tedious work, you will never be able to finish it, probably even in 2 hours. When I am in my culinary mojo, I don’t let anything come in between me and my pie. It won’t take me more that 20 minutes to bake that pie and I make sure it’s the right kind of brown. That is where I have understood that I have this spiritual connection with food.
